Since 2008, Helping Hands for the Holidays has brought the St. Charles community together to support individuals and families in need during the holiday season. Held annually at the St. Charles Convention Center, the event provides hot meals, winter clothing, personal care items, health services, and access to community resources.
In 2025, more than 700 guests attended our 18th annual event. With the support of local businesses and organizations, we also collected more than 3,300 winter apparel items and six pallets of personal care products, with remaining donations distributed through Compass Health Network throughout the winter.
As we prepare for our 19th annual event on December 15, 2026, we invite you to join us in continuing this tradition of compassion, dignity, and community support. Together, we are helping hands for a better tomorrow.

The mission of Helping Hands for the Holidays is to make a difference in our community by providing those who need it a warm meal, a coat, personal care items, and more resources while also giving them a fun night out.
Helping Hands for the Holidays is coordinated by the Saint Charles Convention Center in collaboration with local organizations, community partners, and representatives from both the City and County of St. Charles. Together, we work to create a welcoming, supportive event for neighbors in need each holiday season.
Anybody can join us! There is no registration required, and you can come and go as you please.
