In 2007, the Saint Charles Convention Center, proudly managed by Spectra, embarked on a mission to give back to the community and produced the first annual Helping Hands for the Holidays.
The convention center created this free event with the goal to improve the lives of people in need during the holidays. Over the years the event has surpassed 14,000 attendees and many volunteers.
The St. Charles Convention Center partnered with Element Church and Community Council to successfully host the 13th Annual Helping Hands for the Holidays in 2020.
While 2020 marked the 13th year, the planning process was much different. Hundreds of volunteers, community partners, and donors took time out of their busy schedules to give back to the community at this event during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the attendance number was lower than expected, the goal of assisting the community was accomplished.
This year, the Saint Charles Convention Center will host the 14th year and is so excited to watch the continued growth and success of Helping Hands for the Holidays.
